This week of Rediscovery is your opportunity to experience an incredible journey through the weathered pages of the daily journals kept by Lewis and Clark; all shared with you through presentation, ceremony and guided experience. Countless trips and tours, demonstrations, exhibits, site visits, and other events of this week, will touch forever, as the history of this 200 year old adventure unfolds before you.

Lewis and Clark Festival highlights events of the Lewis & Clark expedition during their stay in Great Falls in 1805. Reenactors in historic dress. Taste the foods the Expedition ate, smell the burning campfires and understand the adventure. From the lower portage camp to Gates of the Mountains, it’s all waiting for you to explore! Learn how the men worked and what they found. Join us in exploring the Lewis and Clark adventure. Live the experience, tours of Lewis & Clark sites, demonstrations, seminars, children’s day camp, exhibits, float trips, buffalo delights and college courses. 

Directions: Lewis & Clark Festival:‘Unexpected Discoveries’ will primarily be held at Giant Springs Heritage State Park on Giant Springs Road. Follow River Road east of town past city golf course, turn at Giant Spring’s State Park Sign.
